Have You Seen My Glasses?

Having spent many days working long hours and coming home exhausted, only to find herself sinking into a deep slumber upon the couch, she woke on her day off late into the day and ready to enjoy a day of solitude with long lost friends. She savoured the adventurous stories they would share with each other; the tales of far of places, long lost loves, and finding the perfect ending to a hard day. Her friends sat waiting her arrival, listening to the on coming foot falls as she drew closer to the coveted spot near the window with the perfect amount of natural light and cool breeze to fill the small space. Only one problem stood in their way, she could not find her glasses so she could dive into the pages new adventures and old favourites.

The Little Village

The Little Village

I had this dream, not to long ago, of a far off place where the villagers where nestled upon the rooftop of a run down building. The little village was a quiet village found to thrive off the ocean and what they could grow in tiny field behind their homes. Neighbour helped neighbour; no one was left behind. The little villagers came and went carrying out their business each day and when asked to lend a hand not a question was asked as to why. No bigger than my hand did the houses stand and watching the little villagers I grew curious as to where they came from and what would life be like to live there. If they noticed me towering over their little village, they never paid me much attention. I woke in the morning and walked outside the house to the building that was run down on the little island. Slowly I climbed those stairs peering around the corner of the top step… my heart sank to see the little village was not really there.
