Nestled in the low valley below the white crested mountain tops stood the small cottage, where the single occupant graciously catered to those who visited. People from all over the world came to visit her little mountain oasis. Often the apologized for disturbing her serenity and with a plump smile upon her rosy face she told them it was no bother at all and showed them around her gardens and to the mountain trails. Before they left to return home, the plump hostess would send her visitors off with fresh baked goods and honey from her hives.
Today I wandered about an eerie place, finding spooks and ghouls around every corner. Terrifying sites laid out before me as I past corpses and wondered what brought that poor soul to such a demise. I walked amongst others as they ran in fear from either myself or from the horrors that surrounded us. I not see why they find these things scary, for me they are a way of life…

Outfit ~ Jack Skeleton Avatar (includes basic AO, hat, invisible avatar, Jack Skeleton avatar, and shape) by *VAVIEN Stylish*
I still searching for the perfect halloween costume. In my search I came across Jack Skeleton by *VAVIEN Stylish* and being one who loves Nightmare Before Christmas, I could not pass this one by. I wore it for a few days trying to work out a few kinks (odd outline around where my eyes should be in my actual shape) and absolutely enjoyed what I was seeing. I did have to change my hover height and bring myself out of the ground. I then took to finding a place to visit to see what sort of comments I would get from others. If you are still looking for a costume, I would suggest trying out this full avatar. I for one will keep it as an option.
It began just like every other night. I came home from work and got changed and made a little dinner, normally I make a large meal, but I wasn’t overly hungry and thought nothing of it. I decided to go to bed a little earlier then normal since I needed to be up earlier the next day. I do not think I was sleeping more then an hour when I woke suddenly and realized I was no longer myself. I wondered around the house as if I had never been there before. I made my way outside and tried to find someone who could help me, except they ran away in horror.
What I am wearing:
Outfit ~ Amelia Halloween SE (LE) (includes bone legs, dress, neck blood applier, makeup applier/tattoo and bruising appliers/tattoo, and alpha layers) by Jinx *only 50 copies to be sold, available until October 31*
I had so much fun with this outfit. When I first saw the poster for this, I was not overly sure how I would feel about it. As each piece went on, my excitement grew, I knew I had made the right choice with this outfit. Everything about it screamed at me that it was the one for me. I then ventured over to The Forgotten and proceeded to embark on my nightly adventure (I did not make it far before I got stuck and could not proceed further).
My favourite time of the year. I enjoy it more than Christmas and Easter combined. It may not be a holiday with a day off work and school, but I think it should be. The days leading up to Hallowe’en fill me with excitement and anticipation of what will be in store.
In real life, I enjoy going to my local amusement park to partake in the scares they have conjured up for the night. I prepare my viewing list of movies that are sure to make the tiny hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I look for a new movie to add to the growing list of old loves.
I will admit I have watched some terrible movies that really should not be placed in the horror genera. Let’s be honest some Hallowe’en, scare the living soul out of you, movies that are being passed as scary really are mediocre today. Hollywood should be ashamed of themselves for passing off such drivel. But I digress.
Hallowe’en’s festivities were rather disappointing this year. I did not get to visit my local haunt because of the baby in the house being tethered to my hip at all waking hours (I have come to accept that I am a Mombie as the hilarious parody on YouTube suggests). I also blame the weather of it rained all day, more like poured and in some unfortunate areas they got snow. The kids were not out in full force.
I did not get to see the creepy costumes of the older kids nor did I buy a costume this year. I kept it rather mild mannered. I cannot wait for my youngest to grow up a little more and that way I can once more partake in the screams and scares of Hallowe’en.
In Second Life though, I got down with my scary self. I dressed as Dracula’s Bride and ventured into a Nightmare. I decided to take a risk with the destination guide in my viewer and explore one of the Hallowe’en locations that was being highlighted. I not only did the maze once, but twice to recapture the moment to share. Sadly for some reason some of my pictures have gone awol and I cannot find them.
